Percussionist Peter Huerta is a Los Angeles based performer and educator. He has been the percussion coordinator at Baldwin Park High School since 2006, as well as a private instructor at NMS Studios in Arcadia CA. Under his direction, Baldwin Park High School has won the 2008 and 2009 Scholastic ‘A’ Gold Medal at the ADLA Championships.
Peter is currently finishing up his Bachelors Degree in Percussion Performance from the Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach. He has performed with the Cole Conservatory Wind Symphony, Orchestra, New Music, and Percussion Ensemble.
Peter has also performed and worked with the Sierra Wind Symphony, Lynn Vartan, and Gwen Stefani. While on tour with Gwen Stefani, Peter performed on SNL, David Letterman, Good Morning America, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Kimmel Live, MTV TRL, Teen Choice Award’s, and venues all across the United States. He has also performed in the Disneyland Christmas Parade as a “toy soldier”, and was recently on the television show America’s Got Talent finals with “All That”.
Peter has studied with Lynn Vartan, Raynor Carroll, Brad Dutz, and Dave Gerhart. Peter is a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion.
Jonathan began his rudimental percussion journey with the Yamato Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004 where he marched tenors. He went on to march tenors with the Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps in 2005 and 2006. He then switched gears and ended his journey indoors with the Pulse Percussion ensemble in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Jonathan has been teaching percussion ensembles in Southern California since 2007; instructing several junior high and high school ensembles. Since graduating from UC Irvine with a B.A. in Cognitive Sciences, Jonathan has earned a living as a professional drummer and educator while also co-founding Rudimental Mindset.
Front Ensemble Instructor
Hector is a front ensemble instructor from the Southern California area. Following high school, he started performing with the RCC winter drumline in the front ensemble, as a member from 2008-2012. Continuing into DCI, Hector went on to perform with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, where he was in the front ensemble for three years from 2009-2011.
Following his ageout seasons, he dedicates most of his time teaching several schools in Southern California.
